He will explain how to improve the energy efficiency of your home in a planned, cost-effective way.
Colm will be followed by Kieran Lettice, who is the SEAI’s Sustainable Energy Community (SEC) Mentor for West Cork.
Kieran will talk about the new range of Home Energy Grants that were recently announced by the SEAI. Then there will be a panel discussion, featuring local professionals and providers of sustainable energy solutions.
The event will also include a mini expo, with a wide range local businesses on hand to explain their sustainable energy offerings.
These will include solar panels and renewable energy systems; home insulation upgrades; energy-efficient windows; Green heating solutions; and Green financing and grant options. So before and after the information meeting, people can browse the stands and learn about the options available at a local level.
Finbarr O’Shea, CEO of Bantry Credit Union, said: ‘The Go Green evening is about making sustainability practical and accessible. By bringing together recognised experts and trusted exhibitors, we’re helping members and the wider community make informed choices that benefit both their finances and the environment.’
Bantry Credit Union will be giving away a free BER Assessment on the night as well as some other Green prizes.
