A BALLYDEHOB man charged with stealing cattle worth €53,000 has had his bail conditions changed.

Colm Dineen (32), of Cappaghmore, Ballydehob can now reside at an address in Tipperary, or at a hospital in Dublin, Macroom District Court heard.

Judge Joanne Carroll approved an application by Mr Dineen’s solicitor Flor Murphy to amend bail, with no objections from gardaí.

Judge Carroll said a curfew between 10pm and 7am would remain in place for the Tipperary address, as well as daily sign-ons at the local Garda station.

The change in bail conditions will take effect from April 4th 2026.

The accused is charged with four counts of cattle theft and one for burglary. The charges include the alleged theft of 12 Friesian heifers and six Friesian bulls worth €30,000 from the farm of Brian Lawlor at Lakelands, Skibbereen, on November 24th 2025.
