Over €136 million in goods and services from Cork suppliers were purchased by Lidl Ireland in 2025.
That’s according to the retailer’s Supplier and Business Partner Impact Report, which outlines the key spending and export figures surrounding their Irish partnerships.
Lidl’s key Cork suppliers include Irish Yoghurts in Clonakilty and Bantry-based Keohane Seafoods, who secured a €30 million contract with the supermarket in 2025 to provide fresh, frozen and a range of ready-to-eat products to Lidl stores across the island of Ireland. An export deal to Lidl stores around Europe was also arranged.

Cork-made goods travelled throughout the world as over €19 million of rebel county products were exported to Lidl stores across the globe, a boost of 3% from 2024.
Beyond direct economic investment, Lidl also contributed to various social enterprises and charities in Cork. The retailer supported 46 local charities and donated over 126,000 meals through Food Cloud.
The Good Dairy Company, a Kinsale based ice cream producer, joined Lidl’s Kickstart Supplier Development Programme, which supports small and medium sized home-grown businesses. The initiative saw The Good Dairy Company’s artisan ice cream on Lidl shelves across the country.
Overall, Lidl Ireland has spent over €2 billion in procuring goods and services from Irish businesses in 2025, a 20% increase on last year.
More than €404 million of produce from Irish suppliers was exported to Lidl stores across the UK, EU and USA, an increase of 12.5% on 2024 figures.
Welcoming the results of the report, Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine Martin Heydon TD said the announcement ‘clearly demonstrates Lidl’s impact in Ireland and affirms their commitment to Irish business and the local economy.'
He added that Lidl’s €2 billion spend on Irish goods and services was a ‘milestone achievement’.
Launching the new report findings, Robert Ryan, CEO of Lidl Ireland and Northern Ireland, credited the company’s longstanding relationships with Irish suppliers for their continued market success.
‘We’re very proud to fly the flag for Irish producers and utilise our reach and extensive international network to drive these businesses to further success on the global stage’, he said.
