MUNSTER rugby legend Peter O’Mahony is joining Virgin Media’s panel for the Guinness Six Nations Championship.
The long-serving Munster captain will sit alongside Conor Murray, Rob Kearney, and Andrew Trimble, offering insight and analysis throughout the tournament.
Ireland had a disappointing start to their campaign losing to France in Paris on Thursday but Peter will make his commentary debut during the Ireland v Italy match next Saturday February 14th at the Aviva Stadium where the boys in green are expected to bag a win.

O’Mahony has carved out an extraordinary career at the highest level. With 112 Ireland caps and over 193 appearances for Munsterto his name, he has been a cornerstone of Irish rugby for more than 15 years. His achievements include five Six Nations titles, two Grand Slams, and three Rugby World Cups.
Renowned for his physical edge, tactical awareness, and inspirational leadership, O’Mahony steps into the punditry seat fresh from an international career that ended at the 2025 Six Nations.
As a former Ireland captain with deep experience under both Joe Schmidt and Andy Farrell, and a decade as Munster’s longest‑serving captain, he brings unparalleled insight into the game and the current Irish setup.
