A CHEQUE for €50,000 has been presented to local charities and community groups following the success of the Ring of Beara Cycle 2025, which took place on Saturday May 24th. 

Renowned as one of Ireland’s leading mass participation cycling events, the Ring of Beara Cycle has now donated over €550,000 to community causes since its inception.

The annual cheque presentation took place at Brook Lane Hotel, Kenmare with representatives from the benefiting organisations in attendance to receive their share of the funds raised.

This year’s donation was distributed among the following local groups and charities: Scoil Phobail Beara, Castletownbere Day Care Centre, Cancer Connect, Red Cross, Beara West Family Resource Centre, Allihies Men’s Shed, Kenmare Special Needs Children Group, Kerry Mental Health Association, Kenmare Community Care CLG, St John of God, Rockmount Care Centre, Lauragh Community Centre, and Kenmare Palliative Support Group.
