ARDFIELD are heading back to the West Cork League Premier Division for the first time since the 2012/13 season.
They clinched the Championship title – and promotion – with a 4-3 win against Bay Rovers on Sunday.
In a unique clash that Ardfield had to win, they started their final game of the season 2-1 down with just 45 minutes to play – the original game before Christmas was abandoned at half time because of an unplayable pitch, so this was the starting point on Sunday.

But Ardfield held their nerve to get the goals they needed to seal a famous win that won the title and promotion!
It also means that Beara United and Bunratty United will meet in a promotion play-off on Sunday, May 17th in Drinagh (1pm) to see who will take the second promotion spot and join Ardfield in the Premier next season.
