JOE Burke’s Bandon are in flying form right now and won their third game on the bounce in the Division 3 county hurling league.
They saw off Ballinhassig 1-21 to 2-15 with Michael Cahalane to the forefront of the Lilywhite’s scorers once again as he struck 0-14 (11f). Pat Barry hit the West Cork side’s goal while Darren Crowley also chipped in with an impressive tally of 0-4. Bandon’s remaining scorers were Mark Sugrue, Charlie Long and Cathal Lynch as they keep pace with the top.
It’s a five-way tie at the top of table as Blarney’s perfect start ended at the hands of Courcey Rovers (3-21 to 0-19).

That put Courceys in the top five with three wins from four while Eire Og and Inniscarra joined the high-flyers with wins over Russell Rovers and Lisgoold respectively.
Fermoy beat Castlelyons in the remaining game in the third tier.
Newcestown slipped to fifth in Division 2 with a narrow 0-17 to 0-16 defeat to Kanturk.
The West Cork club made a fighting comeback in the second-half after an 0-11 to 0-6 deficit at the break. Richard O’Sullivan led the way for Newcestown with 0-8 (6f) while Jack Meade (0-3) and Colm Dinneen also weighed in. Joe Kenneally, Seamus O’Sullivan and Sean O’Donovan hit the target too.
Erin’s Own made it four wins from four with a 1-22 to 0-13 victory over Ballincollig while Bride Rovers kept pace with the leaders after a 1-21 apiece draw with Carrigaline. Valley Rovers saw off Ballymartle 0-22 to 0-17 elsewhere.
Kilbrittain sit second in Division 5 after a 0-26 to 1-18 win over Milford. Scorers for the Black and Amber included Mark Hickey (0-13, 10f), Ronan Crowley (0-5), Conor Hogan (0-3), Colm Sheehan, Josh O’Donovan (0-2 each) and Eoin O’Neill (0-1).
Dungourney lead the way though after getting their fourth victory, 1-19 to 0-15 over Tracton.
Midleton and Cloyne are not far behind by beating Youghal and Ballygarvan while Castlemartyr and Glen Rovers ended all square.
Ballinascarthy earned their first win of Division 6, 2-19 to 1-15 over Kinsale, with Brian O’Donovan (0-8), Jeremy Ryan (0-7, 6f), Connall Cullinane (1-4) and Donnagh O’Driscoll (1-0) getting on the scoresheet.
Killavullen went joint-top after beating league leaders Ballygiblin while Aghada kept up with the table toppers too by seeing off Erin’s Own. Sarsfields defeated Mayfield in the other game.
Barryroe missed the chance to go level on points with Division 7 leaders Ballinora after a 0-21 to 0-14 defeat. That leaves the Sky Blues fourth in the standings.
Carraig na bhFear ended Kilshannig’s 100 percent record by coming out on top 1-23 to 1-15 while Meelin, Na Piarsaigh and Killeagh beat Douglas, St Finbarr’s and Passage West.
There was a lot of West Cork interest on the St Finbarr’s team in Division 1 as they defeated county champions Sarsfields 2-18 to 0-19. Former Randal Og hurler Sean Daly started at corner-back for the city club and played well.
Castlehaven footballer Jack Cahalane got 1-3 from play while Barrs’ manager Paudie Murray is a Dunmanway man.
The Barrs are in joint second along with Douglas who beat Charleville 1-18 to 1-13. Elsewhere, Killeagh saw off Fr O’Neill’s while Carrigtwohill and Blackrock drew.
Finally in Division 4, Aghabullogue, Kildorrery and Watergrasshill got wins over Bishopstown, St Catherine’s and Cloughduv.
