IBANE Gaels will start the defence of their Clóna Milk Carbery U21A football crown with a quarter-final against Carbery Rangers in Dunmanway on Saturday evening, July 11th (7.30pm).
As Carbery GAA updated its fixture plan for the months ahead, it included dates, venues and times for the division’s U21 football and hurling straight knock-out championships.
While in recent years, division U21 competitions had been held in February, last season saw the business end of Carbery’s U21 football championships held in the summer. This year the county board instructed that the U21 championships start in the summer.

On the same evening (July 11th), Castlehaven play Newcestown in another U21A football quarter-final, with Clonakilty the venue (7.30pm).
The remaining two U21A quarter-finals will be held on Sunday, July 12th, as O’Donovan Rossa take on Clonakilty in Castlehaven, and Dohenys face 2024 champions Bantry Blues in Aughaville. Both games throw in at 3.30pm.
In the Clóna Milk U21A hurling championship, the semi-final between Ibane Gaels and champions Newcestown – a repeat of last year’s final – will be held on Friday, July 3rd in Kilbrittain (8pm). The winner here will play Bandon in the final.
Fixture details for the Carbery U21B and C championships have also been confirmed.
In the Clóna Milk U21B football quarter-finals, champions Ahán Gaels take on St Colum’s in Skibbereen (7.30pm) on Saturday, July 11th; this is a repeat of last season’s final that St Colum’s won 2-9 to 0-7. On the same evening (July 11th) Kilmacabea/St James meet Kilmeen in Ahiohill. The following day, July 12th, last season’s U21C champions Ilen Rovers face Bandon in Ardfield (3.30pm).
There are two Carbery U21B hurling championship quarter-finals. First, Dohenys and Kilbrittain clash on Monday, June 29th, in Ballinascarthy (8pm) – the winner here meets St Colum’s in the last four. On Saturday, July 3rd, it’s Clonakilty v reigning champions Ahán Gaels in Ahiohill (8pm), and the winner advances to meet Kilbree in the semi-final.
The Clóna Milk U21C football quarter-finals have also been fixed. On Saturday, July 11th (7.30pm), Kilbrittain meet Tadhg MacCarthaigh in Ballinacarriga. The next day, July 12th (3.30pm), Muintir Bhaire battle with Randal Óg in Leap, Gabriel Rangers take on Urhan in Durrus, and Clann na nGael play Owen Gaels in Rosscarbery.
The Clóna Milk U21C hurling semi-finals will be held in August – Randal Óg and St James meet on Friday, August 7th in Rossmore (7pm), and the day after it’s O’Donovan Rossa v Owen Gaels in Ardfield (7pm).
The semi-finals of Carbery’s U21A, B and C football and hurling championships are scheduled for the weekend of August 7th to 9th. The finals are expected to be played on the last weekend of August.
