IT’S not long to go until the 2026 Carbery Group junior football and hurling leagues get underway, with just weeks to go to throw-in.
Ahead of the new season, details of Carbery Group Carbery/Beara Football Leagues – from Division 1 to Division 3B – have been announced, with fixtures for Divisions 4A and 4B to follow in the next few weeks.
Meanwhile, new Carbery senior hurling manager William Hourihane has boosted his management set-up with the addition of Pat Kenneally. The Newcestown man,a former Cork hurler and minor manager, is one of the most knowledgeable hurling men in the division, and his willingness to get involved in the Carbery set-up is another positive as preparations begin for the 2026 season.

DIVISION 1
Here, the top two teams will compete in the league final in June.
Round 1 – Sunday, March 1st: Barryroe v Ballinascarthy, Goleen v Kilmeen, Kilbrittain v Castlehaven, Urhan, a bye.
