BANDON CAMOGIE: The juniors got the better of Dungourney, 1-14 to 1-1, away last Saturday in the second round of the county C league. The game saw the Bandon girls, sporting their newly sponsored Specsavers jerseys, dominate across the field, leading 1-10 to 0-0 at the break. Bandon were captained by Aisling O’Connor and their scorers included O’Connor (0-1), Clodagh Barry (0-8, 4f), Laura Cummins (1-2) and Breffini Kelly (0-3). Last Sunday, the U16s lost away to Castlelyons on a scoreline of 3-5 to 4-9.

CARBERY RANGERS: The junior footballers have an away clash to Ballygarvan on Tuesday, April 21st (8pm) in the county league Division 7. They are off the back of a draw against Passage West last weekend. The U13s drew their Rebel Óg West U16 Football League Group 2B clash against St Nick’s, 5-5 to 4-8. They face Éire Óg next on Tuesday, April 21st in Ovens (7pm). The U16s lost the Division 1 league clash to O’Donovan Rossa 4-17 to 0-5. The U18s face Ballinhassig in their Division 2 encounter on Wednesday, April 22nd (6.45pm) in Ardagh. The U14s face Newcestown in Division 2 in Ardagh on Tuesday, April 21st (6.45pm). A big thank you to the large number of people that turned up for the clean up day last Saturday.

ILEN ROVERS: The intermediate team overcame Ballinora in their third league game of the season, 0-16 to 0-12. Next up is an away game in Bantry this Sunday. The junior ladies beat St Colman’s last Sunday in the third round of county league, 6-11 to 3-7. They play their fourth round at home to Kildorrey on the weekend of April 26th. Congratulations to Emma Hurley and the Cork seniors who beat Galway in the Division 1 league final. Well done to Seán Connolly who started midfield last week for the Cork U20s against Clare. The club wish him and his teammates all the best for their game against Kerry on Thursday evening. The U14 girls lost their opening B league game to Ibane Ladies last Sunday. The U16 girls won their opening A league game against Valley Rovers in Church Cross at Donie Duggan Pitch 4-6 to 1-10. The junior ladies face Ballinhassig in their 2025 county D final this Sunday in Timoleague (2pm). U6, U8 and U10 training for girls will start this Friday, April 17th from 6.15pm to 7.15pm in Church Cross. For further information text Maura (0868641531).

KILMEEN/KILBREE: The junior footballers saw off Castlehaven by 4-12 to 1-8 in Moneyvollahane last Sunday morning. The local team got off to the better start, leading 1-2 to 0-2 after ten minutes. A young Kilmeen side settled from this point. James Clancy scored a 45, Oisin O’Sullivan added a point from play. A quick flurry of Kilmeen goals scored by Jason Murray, Cillian Twohig and Oisín Harrington put some light between the sides. A fourth goal by Joe Bailey just before the break, gave Kilmeen a greater advantage heading into the second half, 4-8 to 1-3. The minor footballers lost at home to Ilen Rovers, 3-11 to 1-10.
