THREE Skibbereen Rowing Club athletes have been selected to represent Ireland at the upcoming European Rowing U19 Championships that take place in Brandenburg, Germany, from May 23rd to May 24th. 

Skibbereen rower Holly O’Flynn, from Baltimore, will partner Gaby Nagle (Fermoy Rowing Club) in the junior women’s double sculls.

Ballydehob teenager Sam Wheeler-O’Brien, of Skibbereen Rowing Club, teams up with Harry McCartney (Methodist College Belfast Boat Club) in the junior men’s double sculls.

Schull teen Mattias Cogan boosts the Skibbereen Rowing Club representation as he will join Evan O’Byrne (St Michael’s Rowing Club) in the junior men’s pair.

Skibbereen Rowing Club duo Denise Walsh and Sharon Murphy are amongst the Rowing Ireland support staff for the first major international regatta of the 2026 high performance season.
