DUNMANWAY Town and Drinagh Rangers Diamonds sparkled in the latest round of the West Cork Schoolboys and Schoolgirls League’s U12 Schoolboys Challenge Cup.
Dunmanway Town and Lyre Rovers Black produced an epic U12 Schoolboys Challenge Cup quarter-final at the Meadows.
Nathan Crowley Healy fired Town in front but Riley O’Leary’s leveller meant an exciting tie finished 1-1 after extra-time. Alex Broderick proved Dunmanway’s hero in the ensuing penalty shootout, saving four spot-kicks, as Town emerged 4-3 winners.

Drinagh Rangers Diamonds are through to the last eight of the U12 Schoolboys Challenge Cup. A 6-0 win at home to Castlelack Rangers sealed the Canon Crowley Park club’s place in the cup quarter-finals. Sean O’Mahony scored a hat-trick with Charlie Beamish (2) and Sean Hamilton also on the winners’ scoresheet.
Togher Celtic and Riverside Athletic produced a game-of-the-season contender in the U12 Schoolboys Shield semi-finals at Togher.
Leading 2-1 at the interval, Riverside looked set for victory until a Togher comeback saw a cracking game end 3-3 after extra-time. Penalties decided the outcome with Athletic’s goalkeeper Jakub Blak playing a starring role in his side’s latest win. Riverside’s goals were scored by Johnny McCarthy (2) and Fionn O’Sullivan. Sophie Button, Molly Lyons and Sophia Hurley were among the goals for Togher.

Lyre Rovers and Drinagh Rangers Diamonds will contest this season’s U13 Schoolboys Challenge Cup final.
Rovers overcame local rivals Clonakilty AFC City 4-2 on penalties following a marvellous 3-3 draw after extra-time in Lyre. Sean Kennedy and Luca O’Donovan were on City’s scoresheet in a tie where Matthew Woods, Tom Doyle and Cian Coakley scored for the winners.
Another local derby between Drinagh Rangers Diamonds and Dunmanway Town ended 4-2 to the Diamonds at Canon Crowley Park.
Cian Owens and Darryl Farr found the net for Town but Oran Keane, Diarmuid Sutton, Rory Fairbrother and Rory Hicks’ strikes sent Drinagh through to the cup decider.
Ardfield Mountaineers have qualified for the U13 Schoolboys Shield final. The Mountaineers overcame Drinagh Rangers Dynamos at the Showgrounds thanks to Colin Ronan (4), Leo Pezza (2), Matthew Harte, Miguel De Menezes Almeida and Oisin Cullinane efforts. Max Musgrave was Drinagh’s solitary scorer.
Skibbereen Celtic will be Ardfield’s opponents in the U13 Shield final after Jack O’Brien (4), Jack Herlihy, Lucas Cahalane and Aaron Donohue goals saw off Beara United. Oisin McMahon netted for Beara.

Both of this season’s SuperValu U14 Schoolboys Challenge Cup semi-finals were completed.
Four Ryan Healy Crowley strikes helped Dunmanway Town get the better of Castlelack 4-2 after extra-time at the Meadows. Tiernan Crewe and Liam Verling were on target for the visitors.
Town will face Skibbereen Dynamos in this year’s U14 Schoolboys Challenge Cup decider. That’s after Dynamos proved too strong for Clonakilty AFC Red Dynamos in the second semi-final. Skibb won 2-0 thanks to first-half Tadhg Ronan and Ryan Jennings efforts at Ballyvackey.
The opening fixture in this season’s U14 Schoolboys League One saw Bay Rovers overpower Skibbereen Celtic in Kealkill. Tadhg Harrington netted four times with Oskar Ustjanowski (2) and Charles Allen also on Bay’s scoresheet. Skibbereen’s only reply came via Oisin Minihane.

Castlelack are through to the 2026 U15 Schoolboys Challenge Cup decider thanks to a convincing victory at home to Beara United.
Jack Allen continued his excellent individual season with four goals. Oisin Lucot, Sean Evans, Tiernan Crewe, Oliver Kiely and Aaron Harrington also netted. Rian Lowney and Henrikas Dabrys’ efforts weren’t enough to keep Beara in the competition.
Fionn Daly netted four times in Riverside Athletic’s 5-1 U15 Schoolboys Shield quarter-final victory away to Skibbereen Celtic. Adam O’Driscoll added another to ensure Riverside’s win in a tie where Ben Twohig was on target for the hosts.
Bay Rovers travelled to Bunratty United and registered a 2-1 win to qualify for this season’s U16 Schoolboys Shield final.
Volodymyr Deidei handed United the lead until a late Eoghan Hickey equaliser sent the tie to extra-time. Hickey’s second goal of the evening earned Bay Rovers the narrowest of wins.
