BARRY O’Driscoll (H) scored FIVE first-half goals as Drinagh Rangers hit top spot in the PremierHiSpecCars.com Premier Division.

Rampant Rangers were just too strong for understrength Baltimore, who are finding life at the top tier a challenge right now. 

Drinagh’s emphatic 11-0 win sent them to the summit, and they sit on ten points alongside Lyre Rovers and Togher Celtic who have played more games. Champs Clonakilty Soccer Club sit one point further back with games in hand on all the teams above them.

Eoin Hurley (2), Cillian Fitzpatrick, Robbie McQueen, Tom McQueen and Padraic Hegarty were also on target for Drinagh, who are at home to Castletown Celtic this Sunday.

Elsewhere in the Premier, Drinagh Rangers B and Lyre Rovers drew 0-0. Also, Paudie Crowley scored two early goals as Togher Celtic beat Dunmanway Town 2-0.

Bunratty United lead the way in the OBrienWaterServices.com Championship – they maintained their 100 percent record with a 4-3 away win over Skibbereen Celtic. 

A double from Killian O'Brien and a Conor Brosnan goal saw Bunratty race into a 3-0 lead after 16 minutes. After Ruaidhri O'Donovan pulled one back for Skibb, Brosnan hit his second to open up a 4-1 lead. There was still time in the first half for Cian O'Brien to score for Skibb, who trailed 4-2 at the break. Luke O'Sullivan set up a grandstand finish when he netted Skibb’s third in the 74th minute, but Bunratty weren’t to be denied, as they made it four wins in a row.

Ardfield are just two points behind Bunratty, after they beat Bay Rovers 5-2 on Sunday – this was Bay Rovers’ first league loss of the season, but they are also on ten points alongside Ardfield. Goals from Diarmuid Kerr (2), Jack Maguire, Sam Linehan and Karol Siwek saw Ardfield lead 5-0 before Eoin Bowden and Daniel Andrews grabbed two consolation goals inside the final quarter.

Beara United sit in fourth place – they beat Spartak Mossgrove 1-0 in a mid-week game thanks to a Cormac Whelan first-minute goal.

Aultagh Celtic’s A team won the Aultagh derby 6-1 to move into fifth place. Stephen O’Connell, Evan McGuire, Oisin O’Connell, Cian Kennefick, Colm O’Neill and Gary O’Neill all scored for the A team, while Senan O’Sullivan grabbed a late consolation goal for Aultagh B.

Elsewhere, Castlelack picked up their first Championship win when they came from behind to beat Skibbereen 4-2. Brian Lordan was the hat-trick hero for Castlelack, who trailed 2-1 just after half-time. Evan O’Shea scored the winner’s fourth goal. John Paul Reen and Jamie Hourihan (penalty) were on target for Skibb.
