CORK is among the strongest counties for start-ups year on year according to figures just released.
Company start-ups have risen 14% on 2025 in the first three months of the year with 7,263 businesses registered.
Construction (+32%), financial services (+7%), and high-growth sectors including manufacturing (+46.40%) and computing (+63%) are driving growth.

Dublin leads in overall volume accounting for 2,096 start-ups in Q1 2026 (+17.69%).
Cork has 736 start-ups (+16.64%), Limerick 262 (+18%), and Galway 311 (+11%).
CRIFVision-Net said the strong growth reflects confidence and resilience.
