ACCLAIMED photographer Dennis Horgan has debuted his new photographic exhibition in the airside arrivals hall at Cork Airport.
The latest project from the Glandore-based artist is entitled ‘Welcome to the wonders of our region’ and showcases the stunning Cork coastline.
The images are a selection of aerial photographs from his most recent publication ‘The Coast of Cork – A View from Above’ which was published last year.

The images on display include some of the finest views and vistas around the coast, serving as a ‘taster’ for inbound tourists on the scenery they can look forward to on their travels.
The project complements the ongoing tourism promotion in the terminal with a selection of visuals from Visit Cork and Fáilte Ireland, promoting the best of Cork culture, scenery and food.
Included in the exhibition are aerial images of locations from East Cork to West Cork and a collection of images of search and rescue services like the RNLI and Irish Coast Guard on exercises off our shores.
The aerial photography was captured by Dennis, with aircraft services provided by Atlantic Flight Training Academy, based at Cork Airport.
A passionate aerial photographer with extensive published works, it is particularly appropriate for Dennis’ work to feature at Cork Airport as he himself was present for the opening of Cork Airport in 1961.
This then gave rise to his passion for a love of aircraft and a flair for aerial photography.
Dennis said: ‘It’s a pleasure to partner with Cork Airport in the promotion of Cork tourism and local photography. I was at the opening of the airport in 1961, and I am so proud that almost three and a half million passengers will get to see this exhibition in 2026.’
Dennis had the opportunity to present a copy of his new publication to Minister for Transport, Darragh O’Brien and Minister of State at the Department of Transport, Jerry Buttimer on their visit to Cork Airport earlier this month.
