Summer has well and truly kicked off in West Cork.

This weekend's events include Ballydehob Country Music Festival, drag bingo, an over 30s club night, a party boat, Kinsale Trad Fest and a brain health information evening.

Ballydehob Country Music Festival - Friday May 29th to Monday June 1st

The Ballydehob Country Music Festival is a lively annual celebration held in the village of Ballydehob, which will take place from Friday, May 29th to Monday, June 1st, 2026.

This year's event features a star-studded lineup of Irish country performers, including headliners Jack Keogh, Michael English, and David James, who will lead dedicated dance nights at the Community Hall.

While the extensive bar trail throughout the village offers free live entertainment, tickets for the main hall performances are priced at €20 each per night at the door.

Drag Bingo - Friday May 29th

Drag Bingo, a fundraiser for Oisin’s Gym, is set to take place on Friday, May 29th, at the Kilbrittain Inn with doors opening at 8:30 PM.

The event promises a night of big prizes, big laughs, and fabulous fun, hosted by a glamorous drag performer to ensure it's not your nan’s bingo.

Tickets for the evening are priced at €20 per person, with all proceeds going toward the gym fundraiser.

Flash Dance Over 30s Club - Saturday May 30th

The Flash Dance Over 30s Club Night takes place on Saturday, May 30th, 2026, at the iconic Connolly’s of Leap venue in West Cork.

The event features a full video DJ set from BMG Sound, spinning a mix of 80s and 90s pop, indie, and dance floor classics from 8:00 PM until 1:00 AM.

Tickets for this over-30s-only event are €26.50, and given its history of selling out, advance booking is highly recommended here.

Rock the Boat Disco Cruise - Sunday May 31st

The Rock the Boat Disco Cruise departs from Baltimore on select dates throughout the summer, including upcoming cruises on Sunday, May 31st, as well as several dates in June, July, and August 2026.

The two-hour scenic voyage through Carbery’s 100 Isles features a disco on the water with hits from the 80s, 90s, and 00s, followed by an after-party hosted by the Algiers Inn.

Tickets for this over-21s event are priced at €25 per person and include the cruise and access to the onboard bar, and can be booked here.

Kinsale Trad Fest - Sunday May 31st and Monday June 1st

Celebrate traditional Irish music, culture, and community at Kinsale Trad Fest 2026!

Set in the heart of one of Ireland’s most beautiful seaside towns, this Bank Holiday weekend festival promises an unforgettable night of phenomenal live performances on Sunday May 31st and Monday June 1st.

The festival’s main event features high-energy performances from the band The Rising, Máire Ní Churraoin, Barry Tierney, and Unity Irish Dance.

While many sessions and street performances throughout the town are free to the public, tickets for the headline concert at the White Lady are €33.15 and can be purchased here.

Mind Your Mind: Brain Health, Memory and Making Decisions - Tuesday June 2nd

Join the Dunmanway Family Resource Centre for an informative evening exploring brain health, memory, cognitive wellbeing, and the importance of planning ahead.

Hear from expert speakers who will share practical advice on understanding how the brain works, recognising early cognitive changes, reducing risk, and making informed decisions for the future.

Secondary follow up session will be conducted on Tuesday, June 30th.
