A celebration Mass was held in St Bridgets Church Union Hall last Saturday to mark Fr Michael Curran MSC 60 years as a priest. Stallion Coom View Legacy, owned by Sean O’Sullivan of Barryroe, at the recent stallion inspections where he was approved as a Class 1 Irish Draught Stallion. This exceptional horse is set to be a valuable addition to the West Cork community and will stand at Sean’s Farm in Barryroe.

A Ballyvourney-based group of off road motorcycle riders recently presented a donation of €2,500 to West Cork Rapid Response, following their annual charity orienteering ride. The non-competitive event involved around 50 riders and was organised with the support and cooperation of local landowners, Coillte, and wind farm operators. The organisers extended their sincere thanks to Ørsted for their generous financial contribution, as well as to the other wind farm partners and private landowners who facilitated access along the route. The group highlighted the essential service provided by West Cork Rapid Response, particularly in rural communities. The proceeds from the annual Aughadown St Patrick's Day charity walk in Lisheen was presented at Minihan's Bar recently. It is a beautiful time to enjoy the school garden at Rath National School as everything starts to bloom again, including the willow dome. Practicing for their show at the willow dome, are Rita Flannery, Poppy and Mira Wall Lee, Muireann Daly and Annie Casey.
